Want Sexy Arms? Add Bench Dips Into Your Workout
The bench dip is a compound exercise that builds strength to you triceps as well as your chest and shoulders. Once you get hold of a stable flat bench, you are all set to do your dips. Be sure to perform your stretches and warm-ups before you do this exercise. Place the bench on a flat place and make sure it is stable. With your back towards the bench, hold the edge of the bench closest to your back with your palms down. Extend your arms and let your glutes hang on the edge at bench level. Your head and torso should be in a straight line and stationary. Bend at the waist and stretch your legs straight in front of you with your ankles crossed. Keep this as your starting position. Inhale as you carefully bend your elbows to lower your body. Your elbows should bend towards your back. Keep the tension in your arms as you decrease the angle of your elbows to less than 90?. Be careful to hold your arms and elbows close to your body to prevent injury. Exhale as you push yourself up to starting position. Use your arms to lift your body and not your legs. Repeat with the recommended number of reps and sets. Never release the tension on your arms throughout the entire exercise. You can place your feet on another bench in front of you for a challenging work out. Once you get used to this, increase the difficulty by placing a set of weights on your legs with a help of a spotter.
