When to Invest in Treadmills

Introduction

Treadmills are the most popular form of home exercise equipment - accounting for one-third of all exercise equipment sales - and also the most likely to be used (that's important:) and not abandoned.

And just in case you are not familiar with treadmills; they are exercise machines used in both gyms and at home for walking and running indoors.

Basically, a treadmill uses a belt looped around rollers, driven by an electric motor, and supported by a deck on a metal frame to create a walking and running path.

Treadmills are a great source of cardio exercise because they allow you to run indoors on a padded surface and can benefit your body in many ways. Now back to our question and that is…

When Should You Decide in Investing in a Treadmill?

-If you are a Mom with limited time and it is difficult for you to perform your running workout outdoors with your children.

-If you're a working Mom or a career woman and have even more time restrictions, then investing in cardio-machine is well worth it for your health benefits.

Besides, many women do prefer to workout indoors in their homes around their children because it is more convenient, private, and more predictable to in terms of inclement weather. So the bottom line is you'll be more inclined to perform your running workout than not.

As I mentioned in many of my exercise articles, performing aerobic and anaerobic kinds of training is a very important part besides resistance training and nutrition in getting you back in shape whether losing bodyweight or increasing your stamina and endurance level. In addition, aerobic exercising like, running, is the most calorie burning method to utilize.

Treadmill Buying Guidelines

Buying a treadmill can be an exciting event, or it can be a very frustrating experience! If you know what to look for in a treadmill, the features that you want, and the price range that fits your budget, you have some guidelines with which to begin your search. Here are some important features you should be looking for are...

- Depending on your height the belt has to be long enough for your running stride and the width of the treadmill must accommodate your body.

- A quality treadmill should have good shock, absorbtion, and it should not feel like you're running on concrete floor.

- Incline or Elevation feature in a quality treadmill is important to be included. That way the treadmill can simulate running up and down hills for even more burning calories (this is a must).

- Last but definitely not least, is having a good service contract in your treadmill warranty. Investing in a big purchase like a Treadmill you need a piece of mind that you'll be covered from unexpected extra expenses.

Buying a treadmill online will save you both time and most likely money too. However, if possible, you should test out the machine before you buy it, especially if you have not used one before.

Wrap up

As a career women or full-time job Mom, your health comes first before anything else. And if you don't take care of yourself no one else will.

So decide for yourself how to be consistent in exercising and not skipping workouts. If getting yourself (and for your family for that matter) a treadmill will make your home a more healthy environment, then it is worth the investment.
